On Monday, I turned 32. I always like to throw out the little tidbit that I share my birthday with Jon Bon Jovi, Dr. Seuss and Mikhail Gorbachev. I celebrated my birthday with a pack of cold medicine and a box of tissues.

Yes, the plague has hit our house and hit it hard. This is the first time that I have been sick since becoming a mama and I have to say it was the only time that I have longed for the old days. When I'm sick, all I want to do is sleep and sleep and sleep somemore. But when you have baby at home, your sleeping is much more limited. So, I spent my birthday snuggling a sad, sick baby and nursing my own sick body as well. Last night I went to be at 8:30 (gasp!).

So, I am hoping that all these germs will just hit the road and our little family will be back to a normal schedule. I also hope to do a birthday redo by spending some good time celebrating with girl friends on Friday night.
